Unbelievable ...my friend lost her home and you're concerned about the sidewalk? Three families are homeless. Be a good person and help them clean up. It just happened last Thursday the 19th.
Really? Dude....really? Complete lack of decency and respect. Bet I can guess who reported this. How about walking on the sidewalk ACROSS the street?! Or go to another neighborhood and find something USEFUL complain about. Or just go away, period.
Are you kidding me .. 3 people just lost their homes and had their lives totally turned upside down and all you can do is complain about the sidewalk? Perhaps you could find better use of your time going out and purchasing gift cards to donate to them or using your time online to donate to all of their PayPal accounts, Quit being a jerk!
at this time the investigation on cause is still in the process since it just happened a week ago. As soon as possible the sidewalk will be cleared and safety fencing will be moved back. To move it prematurely would be unsafe for the public due to the space needed for the machinery to do cleanup. I have this case on monitor to give all involved time to properly proceed with their duties in a timely and safe manner.
Nothing could be cleaned till the insurance company finished their investigation. It is my understanding that the clean up is to start very soon. I imagine as soon as it stops raining.
I have left a Message with the insurance agent and also the contractor that is supposed to be cleaning up the mess. Neither have returned my call at this point. I started a sanitation case and opened a case to monitor at 1327. I am monitoring it for a week because he is waiting for the mess to get cleaned up so he can get a roll off dumpster in and start the reconstruction on his property.
I went by the property today and the contractor was busy at work. He felt like he would have all the hole filled and all leveled, clean up completed, sidewalk cleaned off, bags at the back of the property to keep the dirt from washing into the alley, grass seed down and straw over the top of the grass seed to keep the birds from eating it. He his leaving the snow fence up on each side to keep the straw from blowing into neighboring properties. I did not get back by this evening but will double check on monday, get pictures and close the case if all is good.
