  I have talked to our Parks Coordinator and he is aware of this issue. Staff has taken inventory of all the places that needs repaired but parts of the trail will need to be closed during the repairs. Timing is an issue and staff is looking at late fall so the closings will affect the least amount of participants.

  FYI, there was a multi-bike accident at the worst root (painted in Red) this weekend with injuries. This can’t wait, look at doing something ASAP. At least grind it down to get it flat until it can be fully repaired. RDOT has equipment to do that.

  What is the status of this issue? This issue is multiple years old and has been reported on see click fix multiple times in that span. The issue continues to get worse and should be addressed before the spring when you can expect significant traffic with the new boardwalk.

  We are working on a joint effort with the Roswell Transportation Department and Mayor & Council for additional funds to make repairs. Some work will be attempted later this spring, with hopes of remaining funding to become available in the new budget in July.

  Thanks. Can I get permission to just bring a pick and chop off the biggest humps in the meantime? I have a pretty heavy pick-axe from Home Depot that should be able to break it up well enough so that the number of bike accidents and injuries is reduced. I can try it out on one of the bumps and if y'all approve of it I can do it to more over time. My number is 404-229-3650 email is scott@scott-long.com
