The red light at Penrose and 26th St. for drivers coming over the Platt Bridge and turning left onto 26th (which in turn connects to the Schuylkill Expressway) is longer than it used to be. This has been creating a back-up on the Platt Bridge coming into the city for about the past month. The longer red light is unnecessary because traffic is light coming the other way on Penrose Ave.
