Description
We have a healthy tree in front the home and one tenant keeps calling to remove it
It has small rot but it’s been like that for the 20 years I lived here. It blooms beautiful in the spring and has beautiful colors in the fall.
It survived every major storm without losing limbs including hurricane sandy and the neighbors love the tree.
It’s a small rot hole that can be filled properly and it’s one of 4 trees left on the street.
Next door there are 3 American dogwoods that partner it.
The tree is I believe is a crimson maple.
I’ve been in the herbicide tree business since 2008 and I have a pesticide applicator license from the DEEP and I know the tree is not an issue.
I asked the tenant why they called and the response was because they park their car under the tree.
We’re a close friendly community with blue collar workers,Vietnam vets and senior citizens.
The tree was pruned by United illuminating 3 years ago to keep from touching the wires and the tree filled in nice.
The same tenant called this year to UI to complain about the tree and they came and said it’s fine nothing is wrong and canceled the work order.
The tree is valued among us.
Thank you for your time.

I’d suggest:
1.) Making a petition/list with the immediate neighbors showing they’d like to keep the tree.
2.) Speaking with the tenant to inform of the neighbors wishes.
3.) Also speak with the property owner.
4.) Look into the Adopt-A-Tree program in Bridgeport where homeowners can get trees planted on the sidewalk or on their property, but they assume responsibility for the trees after that.
-It is a shame what is happening to the trees in Bridgeport, lots of neglect. Up and down Park Ave and Main Street trees were planted years ago. And now most have been neglected and are in ruins.
Many streets lose trees but aren’t replaced.

The tree was pruned too much!!!
Whoever did this job were amateurs!!!
They cut so many extra limbs that didn’t need to be cut it was pruned 3 years ago and it was pruned like a hack job
The tree is still up but if you at the before and after it’s horrible just because senior citizen neighbors at 277 Kent Ave called because they were drunk and called 50 times because they just want to be nosey and see up
And down the street.
The tree did not need all that extra extra punning!!!!!!!!!
It literally only has 4 to 5 branches on it.
I’ll be following up with a complaint to the mayors office.
The people at 277 Kent ave call for everything under the influence.
The police have been at 277 at least 100 times for drunkenness and domestic fighting and fights with neighbors.
The officers said it they get any more calls they will send a psychiatrist to evaluate them and send them to senior living.
This is terrible the way they pruned that tree.
Hardly any shade it’s overly pruned
Amateurs milking the clock went overboard for a small tree!!!!!
