Description
There is reoccurring issue of cars and trucks parking in the bike lane on North and South Willard. I experience this issue multiple times a day. Riding with my children to and from school on the bike lane. Today on South Willard street close to Champlain college, the UPS truck parked on the bike lane. Vermont number plate BKP736. There was plenty of free parking on the West side of South Willard. This practice defeats the benefits of installing and maintaining a bike line. Since the bicyclist needs to leave the dedicated bike lane to merge into traffic. What is the cities strategy and approach to resolve this pervasive issue?
