Description
Since you took away the U-Turns and made it so that people traveling on 4015 West can now make left turns onto 5415 South, I have become aware of a huge safety issue. If you're heading south on 4015 West and need to make a left turn onto 5415 South Eastbound, cars coming from the other direction seeking to make left turns onto 5415 South Westbound block your view of oncoming traffic. This would not be a problem if you were only given the option of red or green turning arrows. But the flashing yellow turning arrows which let you turn if there is no oncoming traffic are very dangerous because you cannot see if there is oncoming traffic. The other cars wanting to turn left from the other direction block your view! You have to actually move over to your left (risking get hit head on) before you can see if anything else is coming. I'm not sure why it is this way (it was never a problem before the U-turns) but it a safety hazard now. If you don't believe me, drive to the intersection yourself and try to make a left turn while there are high profile vehicles coming from the opposite direction stopped to make left turns going the other way. You'll find you can't clearly see if there is oncoming traffic or not. Either the configuration of the intersection needs to be changed so people have a clear view of oncoming traffic, or the flashing yellow turn lights need to be done away with and replaced with solid green or red arrows.
