How do we get the massage out that this isn't allowed if we don't enforce our laws? Why have laws? The existing ones don't even penalize enough as it is as there is absolutely no excise for this.
For a better Vallejo, I don't see them being serious. Too many times nothing is done. 1,000 fine is too little and too often not being enforced. They probably don't do any punishing for first offenders. First time being caught is usually the real case though with most likely many offenses got away with. 6 months jail time is taxpayer waste and could make them jobless ,homeless etc.. It should be severe community service/clean up as the fine. The message needs to get out of no tolerance which isn't being done.

Depositing garbage and debris onto public property is a violation Vallejo Municipal Code section 7.44.100 which is a misdemeanor offense with a penalty of $1,000 fine and/or up to 6 months in jail. Please do not move garbage and debris from private property to the street or alley.
