City of Treasure Island assigned this issue to Building, Planning, and Code Enforcement

Please e-mail a photo of the light taken from your property at night to the City's Code Enforcement Officer, Del Powell, at dpowell@mytreasureisland.org so that he may follow up on this issue.

If it goes to Dell, nothing will be done. He is in their pocket and has been for years.

He is too lazy to go out and check it or have someone else check it at night. Instead he wants you to photograph it. Send an email to comm.'s Toth or Horak. Dell will not do a single thing against Gator's. Never has and never will. Trust me. I know.

Del will never follow up on this. Please email Comm/s Toth or Horak. They are the only ones I would trust to actually help woth your problem. Del will not.

But in reality, now they want you to take a picture and email to Del Powell. Why? Because they are too lazy, inept, or "on the take" to do anything about it. The Gator's - City Hall dirty politics and protection has gone on for a decade or more there. Ask Buth Ellsworth or his master, Slick Sid.

The property owner has been notified of the violation. The date of compliance is 1-10-2019.

Maybe Key Capri can raise their association fees and acquire the Gators property and tear it down to make a dog park?

CID-BM; This incident has been reported several times by several associations and unit owners. You state it will be repaired by 1-10 or out of compliance. What time of fines are they now accruing? Please enlighten us. Thank you.

After providing the property owner with a written notice of violation, the City learned that the pole and light belong to Duke Energy. Duke was contacted and a representative visited the site to aim the light downward and toward the property on 1/14/19. As of 1/15/19 a resident reports that the problem still persists. Additional action is required by Duke Energy and they have been notified as of 1/16/19.

Sea Dweller: if the City come into that much money I hope they would buy out Key Capri and tear it down. Then the City would progress the way it should for the future.

And finally, Troll; If you mean the city of Treasure Island buy the land at Key Capri, incur the costs of tearing it down, and developing it into what, I don't know, are you delusional? Why would they do that? You wouldn't get much of a dog park as you requested. You really think an acre of land and 300 people are keeping Treasure Island from the future that you personally envision? The dump at the north end would be a much better investment, Troll. I think the residents at Key Capri just want a peaceful life with their neighbors held to code compliance. How about emailing or calling the property and asking politely to put a downward shield on light? Anyone think of that instead of the derogatory statements.
