Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

  Seriously stop with the canned response! We need some action on these potholes! This is a dangerous situation for all drivers, not to mention cyclists on Park Blvd! OAKLAND FIX THIS STREET!!!

  Over the last few weeks, I have seen an increased number of AAA trucks assisting drivers with flat tires at the top of Park Blvd, near Hwy 13. Given the depth and width of these potholes, I feel safe to assume that driving this stretch of Park Blvd is hazardous to one’s car. This boulevard is a major road from east to west through Oakland. Given the volume and types of vehicles on this road, you must fix this road IMMEDIATELY or there will be an incident that is unrepairable and disastrous.

  Please fix this road! My tire exploded from hitting one of the many deep potholes! There’s going to be a more serious accident at some point with how fast cars zip up and down this street if this isn’t fixed soon.

  There are many holes on Park eastbound, and if you are in the right lane there is hardly any way to avoid them, since they are fairly close together.swerving into the other lane is dangerous and not really possible at times of high traffic.
