I'm so glad you are reporting this. I live in the neighborhood and I reported this about a week and a half ago, and unfortunately the trash is still there. We have a problem of illegal dumping here, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with dealing with this problem in the past. Will signs (surveillance cameras, illegal dumping) or other deterants work? Or is this a challenge for landscape architecture? Would be great to hear the community's thoughts on this pervasive issue. Seems like the trash should be dealt with by whomever owns the lot - it's "outside" the fence of the house that borders it, but it would seem logical that it's still their lot. Put a letter through their mail slot asking them to please clean it up?

That would be great if the owner of the lot could clean it up. But even after they have cleaned up the trash, the illegal dumping issue would still remain. The lot seems consistently overgrown, and accessible for illegal dumpers to put their trash there as there are no fences bordering the lot. This doesn't sound very creative, but the only thing I can think of at the moment is to put up fencing on the lot to deter people from illegal dumping there. Ideally, it would be great to have some kind of landscaping effort, much like the Mandela greenbelt on the lot.
