The stop sign on top of the ramp should be removed and a curb should be extended to channel the traffic with less worries. This will streamline the flow and avoid jams. Allow to turn on red into Centre Street.

The true problem is ("The problem is that there are TOO many lights in this oversized rotary.") that this rotary is the most stupidly designed road work I've ever seen. I can't believe there haven't been hundreds of murders from road rage incidents while trying to traverse this rotary. I deal with it every morning and it is a very bad start to my day - always leaving me in a bad mood.

Worst designed rotary ever! Also littered with potholes!

It's not only about the exit - this rotary needs to be re-designed completely!!

All traffic entering the rotaray from the west on washington street that wish to cross over to Centre St South towards Newton should be directed over the first bridge at Church Street. This will prevent cross over grid lock at the top of the ramp. This change would also be supported by placing signage re-redirecting westbound vehicles past the Crown Plaza, and off of the rotary towards the Church St bridge for access to Centre Street South. This measure would further reduce the crossover competition at the Centre Street access point. Extending a curb from the off ramp to prevent all cross over traffic from accessing Centre Street would create a free flow of ramp traffic that would have the option to go straight or right. Rotary traffic would only be allowed to continue on the Rotary. The off ramp needs signage for those driver's who aren't properly conditioned to form 2 lanes: "PASSENGER CARS FORM 2 LANES ON RAMP". Traffic may safely back up onto 90 heading west because of the dedicated exit lane, However, exiting from the west does not have a sufficient exit lane. If possible, building a second ramp, an earlier ramp, along side the YMCA parking lot, which directs 90 traffic onto the earlier Church Street Bridge, would be a big help to facilitate the movement of vehicles in a redistributed fashion. Residents will not like "THEIR" roads affected, but there's an epidemic of neighborhoods who are treating PUBLIC WAYS as though they are PRIVATE WAYS, which they are not. These are just some basic observations from a person who observed this intersection from an office window for 7 years.

... For The Record, I was witnessing several accidents daily about 12 years ago. And so I alerted Senator Brownsberger about my concerns, He was good enough to come out with another representative from his office. We did a walk through explaining all of these issues. Nothing was done. Not even a simple sign to direct ramp traffic to double up.
