Ticket them!

The intersection crosswalks that were painted by them, not Traffic Eng., are severely faded as well. I know this can't be fixed until summer, but it should be on the TrustCo list of problems. They also don't clear the intersections at both ends of their New Scotland & Ave A West property along Ontario St.

Not only ticket, but the mayor should have called them out to the media since she has no problem running to the camera claiming things are all hands on deck in Albany. She could have also done the same for others, such as CDTA, which she says she has no control over. Fine them and call them out. If individuals and businesses aren't complying and the city is not taking care of it then what do people pay taxes for? What was the bill for this snooze-fest?

F Y I - the 'Albany Mayor' and the big guy at CDTA sit on the same C D T C Board and meet at least once each quarter. The Mayor has no 'kohonees' when it comes to this stuff. Remember this is about 18 months!!!

Thank you for reporting this unshoveled or unsalted sidewalk. Since it snowed last night, the 24 hour timeframe property owners have to clear their sidewalks has reset. Therefor we are closing this request. Should the property owner not clear their sidewalks within the 24 hours after the snow ends, please feel free to reopen this request and we will address those sidewalks accordingly.

Molly McGuire takes so long to address the problem that now it's snowed again and let them off the hook, so her recommended solution is to do the same thing that didn't solve the problem last time. This is a great example of a reason people don't like the Albany government.

J, You are right about this being a big reason people don't like the Albany government. These types of things are considered "essential services," but clearly are not treated as such. When you can't get crosswalks cleared out days and even weeks after a storm then something is seriously off.
