I write this as BJ's starts taking a delivery (2019-02-07 at 21:52). I have to ask, as the police are aware of the it'll activities, has BJ's ever been issued a station for the repeated violation of the noise ordinance? Will the police respond in a timely manner when the sound changes from window rattling to glass sharing? Will the police get involved when the residents (or employees) start suffering from hearing loss do to the year (s) of inaction?

I ask because I believe there are now give (5) active complaints on this forum alone, some dating back for over a year, about the activity. This is discounting the countless* calls to Police Non-emergency asking that action be taken.

The asterisk is there because, though I say "countless," the should be a count. As a sign of good faith that actions are being taken, please provide a count for each year of the number of calls the dispatchers have fielded complaining about this activity that you "are currently working to address."

By the way, the truck driver had finally finished parking the trailer and pulled the cab away. Over forty (40) minutes of having to listen the that process.
The driver seems to now be taking another trailer (or at least hooking up to it) so all of us residents will be able to enjoy the lovely sounds of truck breaks as we fall asleep. This issue stays OPEN until the issue is resolved to the satisfaction of the RESIDENTS.

You moved to a building near a commercial enterprise, you don’t get to complain. You move near the airport, you can’t complain about plane noise. Stop complaining or move.

Having lived on the BWI flight path I can assure you that this is far worse. Please note that these complaints are not related to day time activity (despite there being documentation that some of the sounds exceed the day time noise limits). The residents are reporting night time activities that are far in excess of the limits set by the county. According to the county website's Noise Control page the limits are "Daytime (7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.) 65 dBA - for residential receiving properties" and "Nighttime (10 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) 55 dBA - for residential receiving properties." One of the other posts about this issue provided documents from AACo Police indicating night time readings in excess of 70 dBA (which is particularly significant if you understand Log Scales).

Please do not take my comments to be simple, unsubstantiated complaints. This is, in fact, a documented issue where BJ's has been violating the sound limits that are in place. The county respondents have repeatedly closed tickets on this forum despite there not being resolution. I am simply asking that the tickets be left open until they are actually closed. It is my understanding that there is to be a meeting between the residents, BJ's, and county representatives which would be a step in the right direction.

Looks like this whole neighborhood is full of whining nerds who didn’t do any homework before buying their place. One day you’ll figure it out.

The Police at the Eastern District have a case number and file already open about the noise ordinance in their system, since this case is already on record with the proper department and a officer is doing follow-up I will close the request on this end.
