Description

Street lights throughout the city -- main streets and minor -- need to be changed to provide adequate light. Obviously they were changed for the noble purposes of saving money and energy, but the current lights make it more difficult for drivers to spot walkers and bicyclists at night and for walkers to spot people who would harm them. This is an important "quality of life" issue, as well as an economic one: How much would the city save if it had to defend against lawsuits from the unwitting collision of driver and victim?
