I was able to speak with one of the two drivers who said they only plow until they hit the curb. I think the issue might be that the curb is so low on our corner that they didn't ever hit the curb. I showed him how he had actually plowed two feet over the sidewalk (the cone in the picture is on our sidewalk, and the plow extended two feet in). He did then help us out by removing a large portion of the snow and putting it across the street at the park (there is lots of space for piling snow). I appreciate that they helped us, and hope that in the future this won't happen again. They may benefit from driving around when there is no snow and seeing the odd configuration of our corner.
