Any updates? I almost got hit yesterday by someone flying around that corner.

Driving safely is important any time you are behind the wheel of a car, whether you are in a parking lot or on a major highway. Residential areas require you to be even more careful because there are often children and other members of the neighborhood walking, playing and riding bikes.

This complaint has been assigned to the Special Operations Traffic Unit for review and enforcement action.

Hopefully this gets looked at soon before there is an accident. There has been several close calls already.

Our Traffic Unit has attempted contact at the residence to speak with the home owner but have been unable to speak with anyone this far. Officers have not observed violations.

It's not that it is parked improperly, it's the location. It is usually parked right in front of the mailbox when I drive by. Usually around 1700 you will find it there. It is basically creating a blind corner due to fence issue across the street and allowing only enough room for 1 vehicle to get through at a time. There has been several close calls already.

I almost got hit again on Friday. It is there now....white Dodge SUV. It is normally there after about 10 am and stays there until late night....overnight shift worker I think. This needs to be taken care of or towed. We have to pass it regardless of which side of the neighborhood we come in from. It's a matter of time before something happens there because you cant see around the corner.

Our Traffic officers have located the vehicle parked on the roadway in the manner described. However, the officers determined that the vehicle was legally parked in the roadway as street parking is currently permitted in that area. We are checking with the Streets Dept. to determine if the area of the curve can be restricted for parking. We will advise once we get an update. The vehicle owner was located. They offered to restrict the street parking as much as possible.

Still an issue with that corner because you cant see.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The Transportation Department has reviewed the issue and has determined that removing on-street parking in that area is not recommended. They have concluded that vehicles traversing the curve, even if one lane is blocked by a parked car, should be able to safely do so.
