Description
Today a couple of city workers spent about 10 minutes putting some cheap asphalt filler into the regularly occurring cracks that can be seen on 5th St near the Lemon St intersection. This has been the same method that the city has been using to "resolve" this recurring problem for roughly 6 years now.

Grant St got a freshly paved asphalt top. Where is the fresh asphalt layer for 5th St that I was told, after many hours of spent on the end of a endlessly ringing phone line 5 years ago, that this was being planned and slated?
Participatory Budgeting votes almost always place Street Maintenance and Repair at the top of the list, by a wide margin. There is are a lot of tax dollars going towards fixing our roads, but 5th St, a road that Police cars and Firefighter trucks regularly drive through is not being properly fixed.
The filler that is there within hours has spit out many chunks of asphalt rocks that litter the street and make it look a right mess. There is no city street sweep on 5th St, so guess who has to sweep up this mess? The residents do and with a push broom. It is absurd.
When will 5th St be properly repaved with fresh asphalt?

I took a look at the list and I see that it does not include 5th St from Lemon St to Magazine St. This should not only be a "candidate for consideration in the future" but it should be on the list already as I was told it was 4 years ago.
I took a look at most of the streets on the list. Why are there no streets being repaired in South Vallejo? Most of these streets are North Vallejo or East Vallejo. We all pay taxes in this city, but only a few neighborhoods are getting the benefits.
Rosewood Ave from Westood Ave to Georgia St is in the same condition as 5th St from Lemon St to Magazine St. Why is 5th St not on the list but Rosewood Ave is on the list? Highland St and Ensign St are mostly residential streets with minimal traffic. 5th St is an old highway that sees plenty of traffic! Especially near the two of the busiest intersections: 5th and Lemon and 5th and Magazine.
Now that the street damage issue has been reported for over 6 YEARS and not properly repaired, lets make good and put it on the list. This issue should remain open until it is on the list as it should have been 6 years ago.
