Description
Who's bright idea was it to reduce a lane of traffic in a growing city? We now have to wait several traffic light cycles just to get past 22nd Ave N. Bike lanes were installed that no one uses. Why does the "green city" want more carbon emissions from idle cars sitting in traffic. Every car that is delayed in 90 seconds on this road once a day on their way home from work 50 weeks in the year, 5 days a week, will leave AN ADDITIONAL 37.5 lbs of carbon emissions PER CAR! Presuming 3000 cars are affected each day, that's 56.25 tons of added carbon per year because of lane reduction. Next time, lets think about actual consequences instead of what sounds like a good PR tag line about adding bike lanes.
