Issue forwarded to Public Works, Is there a way to perhaps put in a limited ecology block barrier that would prevent the cutting across the parking lot and still allow customer access? Thanks!

I saw Tukwila PD doing traffic the day before yesterday , they even made an arrest literally on the side of my house.

1 day, where are they now? …
This street is a consistent issue all hours of the day.

To add to the public safety hazard , the individuals that live across the street from the Community Center Basketball court tend to park too close to that crosswalk, restricting the view drivers have of anyone trying to cross.

If the police were down here regularly.
I J walk most of the time to cross because of the fact the cross walk isn't safe with that truck parked too close to it , otherwise I am sure an officer would have tried ticketing me , and doing all the above if he saw me not using the crosswalk.

All I know is there is mostly NO community policing in this neighborhood, I have had 2 officers come in when I am working to ask me if I work here , that should speak for itself.

Excess speed is an issue the entirety of 42nd. I see folks doing 40-50+ MPH daily between 124th and 144th...yeah, even in the school zone. Thought about requesting speed bumps...but this is an arterial for fire and police response so speed is SOMETIMES necessary. Where's the motorcycle traffic cop that used to sit at the bottom of the hill going north toward Friendz? I stopped warning visitors about him/her because I never see anymore.

They need consistent traffic enforcement or normal traffic lights that are camera enforced.
Poor decisions being made by individuals like the geniuses that thought a blinking LED stop sign would make it any better than the stop light that is already there.

Like , it takes someone with years of college to understand that if they ignore the stop light , their going to ignore the LED stop sign.

I support Tukwila PD my family is mostly LEO.
I get it , they gotta interact with the worst examples of humanity , but you can't convince me that not having 1 officer strictly assigned to the neighborhood that the Tukwila Community Center is apart of , for traffic related offenses. I have lived across the street from the Community Center in the same home for 26 years, I've seen multiple chiefs retire. I really miss Chief Haynes. He had this area down here "Policed". I only see the police in this area when someone has to call them. Otherwise I know all the unmarked cars , and detectives that are down here doing their own thing. They aren't responsible for traffic obviously.

It's not a traffic/light issue,it's people blatantly speeding,before and after going through this intersection.

I'm getting pretty @#$%,and disappointed this issue is about to get swept under the rug again.
I'm 26 years old,I shouldn't care at all if I compare myself to other people my age group.

I'll post this again,and again and again and be a serious menace about it until I see traffic enforcement down here, on top of improvements and camera enforcement regarding the intersection.

Even the moderators oppress free speech based on the amount of comments I have rejected.
More disappointing.

I admire your persistency, keep it up. They ' ll have to give in sooner or later.
