The sidewalk contours are such that the puddle quickly extends to the full width of the side walk and 6-8' in length. Passing cars splash hit and adjacent low spot in the road and splash additional water into the sidewalk puddle ensuring that the sidewalk puddle persists long after the rain or melting event.
This sidewalk is the primary student path from the south going to and from Edmunds elementary and middle schools.

Not to mention a veritable ice rink this late winter then thawed water refrozen every night. 100ft long is probably not an exaggeration, on the sidewalk.

It's the most treacherous stretch of sidewalk I've seen in the city. Ice and/or deep puddles in front of 284 and 276 South Union. And there's more--pedestrians get splashed with water from passing cars.

We live at 292 S. Union, right next door. I completely agree. The sidewalk in front of the Guillot's is a lake in summer and a skating rink in winter. But no one is wearing skates. It's treacherous, especially for school kids.
