Description
This intersection is very dangerous for cars, bikes, and pedestrians alike. I was involved in a crash here on 5/8/19 which would not have happened if there were a left turn arrow for traffic going north from Home Ave to Shelburne Road. I was struck almost head-on by an impatient motorcyclist who split the lane to go around the right-turning traffic on Farrell Street and cross Shelburne Road onto Home Ave. I’ve been stuck in traffic for several cycles of the light behind cars trying to turn left there as well. There have been deaths at this location as well. Is the city planning to address this issue?

The traffic on Home Ave. is beyond ridiculous with hour long traffic jams backed up during the morning and evening commute. Massive tractor trailers barrel down Home Ave. at all hours of the day and night. Now the city is in the process of seeking to allow Burton to relocate the largest concert venue in the state to a location where Home Ave is the only route in and out of the facility.
The traffic nightmare of Home Ave is extremely dangerous for cars, bikes, and pedestrians and no one at Burlington Public Works seems to acknowledge it or even care.
