I am responding to Julie about her idea that a street light is needed at Marley Neck Blvd and Creekside Village Blvd. A streetlight is not needed, despite her hyperbolic concerns, for the following reasons:

1. Marley Neck is used primarily by residents in the area and is more of a destination road.
2. A light would pose more danger due to red light runners. It is more likely you would be hit at 50mph turning from a green light than if you waited for the car to pass if there were no light.
3. Traffic is predictable and relatively low -- a light would add to emissions and angst for many of us commuting to work, clogging up the neighborhood traffic.
4. Most importantly, it would be a waste of taxpayer dollars better spent elsewhere.
