Still do not understand why there has to be a turn light to enter I-40 at this intersection- it holds traffic unnecessarily for long periods of time when opposing traffic is almost nonexistent. Causes undue congestion when all of those vehicles merge onto I-40 west at the same time, when they could have been entering the traffic flow one at a time. Would also allow the traffic exiting I-40 to cycle through more quickly. Dump the turn light entering I-40 west from 70S!
