You know what the mayor could have done that would have shown real care for our citizens? Made sure crosswalks were clear of ice and snow during the winter. What really shows you care? Cheap paint or safety? Pay attention, people.

The damage is not due to traffic. The rain did a number on the crosswalk.

So the wrong type of paint was used if it washed off with the rain? What was it, indoor paint??? Was the surface properly prepared before it was painted with outdoor paint??? Who painted it and when? Sounds like the 'warranty' was up way too soon.

Is this expected to be here long term? I can only imagine what this will look like after one winter.
