Description
This is the SW corner of Baldwin Ave and 139 Upper Level.
As shown in the first photo, the turning radius here is approximately 50 feet. NJDOT guidelines (see second photo) indicate that 15 feet is sufficient for vehicles and anything larger increases risk to pedestrians.
50 feet is far too wide for an area with heavy pedestrian usage. This road must be redesigned.

Hi Jennifer. According to the NJDOT website, Jersey City must send a request for this:
"Contact your local officials first [...] NJDOT cannot enter a town and make changes in their jurisdiction without the town's consent. Should the issue fall under NJDOT's jurisdiction, the local officials will forward a direct request to the appropriate NJDOT staff for an investigation on behalf of the municipality."

Could you please forward the appropriate direct request to NJDOT as described?

Thanks Andrew! Can we keep this open until you share their response with the community?
Also can you please provide that person's contact information so that I may follow up directly?
