This is a very reasonable question about the status of a public park that merits a response here, rather than being closed without an answer. It appears from the "likes" that several other people are also interested in an answer. I'm assuming the DPW director has access to the SCF system and can post an answer here. I would appreciate that.
I am particularly interested as my 13 year old son is a track and field athlete. His primary event is the discus. Discus throwing circles/cages are few and far between. In fact, you have to travel several towns away to find a cage that remains up over the summer (most are temporary). As this is one of the only throwing areas in the area, it remaing open is very important to my family. So...
1. Is the track going to remain closed or was this closure merely temporary?
2. If it is closed, why?
3. When will it reopen?
I need to know so that I can find a new location for my son to train if that is going to be necessary. I'm sure countless others who use the area would also like to know. I know of at least two other discus and shot put throwers who use that facility BTW. Thank you.
I always access from that location. My understanding from the post was that the entire track was locked up and inaccessible. If that is not the case, then there is absolutely no problem at all. Thank you!

The field administrator (Bob Davis) locks the gate. Please contact him with questions.
Thank you!

Good Morning –
We will reach out to Bob Davis to discuss this matter.
There is access and parking behind the school. (Near the tennis courts) Most people do access that way.
Thank you,
