Hole next to sidewalk adjacent to tree by road.

Hole is very deep. I thought it may be an animal digging so tried to add dirt to it this weekend. Added 10+ 5gallon buckets of dirt, and after rain it washed away and looks even bigger.

Has anyone checked this out? It is pretty deep (approx 3 feet at some angles) and goes well under the sidewalk. I am afraid if anyone steps in it by mistake they would easily break a leg/ankle.

We live on this street as well and are concerned about this hazard along a sidewalk regularly used by small children. Prompt attention to this would be appreciated.

This hole is also in front of my house and is very deep. We have a 2 year old and there are a number of kids on the street, fixing this issue would give all of us parents some peace of mind to let our kids play outside in a safe environment.

Investigated issue on 11/19/19, checked storm drain pipe and has no issues. Will need to remove sidewalk section to fill sinkhole with material and tamp. Placed two road cones at concerned area on 11/19/19.
