Thank you for contacting the Howard County DPW Bureau of Highways. The location was visited and the crack was noticed. Cracks like this tend to happen from time to time based on the ambient conditions when the concrete is curing. Photos were taken of the crack and we will monitor it for further displacement over time. The humping of the concrete is actually a function of replacing the sidewalk without compromising too much of the tree roots which could affect the integrity of the tree itself.
