  I wonder how many posts from concerned tax paying citizens of this area it will take before Oakland (or Emeryville) decide to take action. My wife has to walk through needle-, human excrement- and trash-infested streets every morning to catch the bus to work. We live next to a huge grocery store and lots of local businesses on the Emeryville side but have to drive there to avoid these hazards. The need to drive suddenly opens up many other businesses to us (for example in Berekely or SF) since we're getting in our car anyway. For a city that complains about transplants displacing its citizens they don't seem to care about supporting neighborhoods, jobs, citizens or local businesses.

  On top of a slew of incidents of assaults, robberies in the same block. Look at Citizen app. AND then Emeryville wants to build a navigation center there to better serve the homeless. How about focusing on the safety of the neighborhood instead of serving the demands of homeless advocates? Emeryville police want to move these people out of our neighborhoods, but Emeryville city council won’t let them.
