im not surprised that the city is still refusing to do anything about this. this is in direct connection to the city-sanctioned homeless encampment and toxic waste dump at marina village that residents have been complaining fruitlessly to the city for the past 5 or so years now. check out my request here from six months ago that they're still ignoring.

the homeless nests and garbage piles in the photographs i took there have been there for at least half a year now. they're literally rotting and attracting carrion feeders, rodents and insects to the area. its also still crawling with homeless that are high on every .d.ru.g. you could imagine. city couldn't care less. no wonder the whole area is turning into a giant dump. they want to turn alameda into oakland #2

No change. There are at least three tents and plenty of strewn trash. One of the transients now parking his truck on the sidewalk at night. Encampment a stone's throw from 2 Pre Schools. .⏰...⏰...⏰

Still no change. Area is still totally infested with d.r.u.g. addict transients, covered to the brim in rotting piles of i.l.l.e.g.a.l.l.y dumped garbage the city is still to this day refusing to clean up. Absolutely nothing has changed.

Everyone should be revolting now. 100 years ago the city government would have been lynched for this

Have to say that the RR property today is about 90% cleared out. Only 1 tent left. Good news. Keep the pressure on folks. Next up....Neptune Park. #poseytriangle

Any clean up they do is probably only temporary. We've seen now that due to the city and police's refusal to actually permanently remove these transients and cite them for the massive list of crimes they commit in Alameda on a daily basis simply results in those same transients coming right back a few days, weeks or months later, and completely re-infesting all the areas that were previously cleared. Look at what happened with the homeless encampment on park street. First it was situated by the newsstand where that tea shop was opening up. After the shop opened they moved to the abandoned subpar golf building. they finally cleared them out of there even though its still covered in trash and graffiti, now they're sleeping on the bench in front of 1419 park street just down the block from there. i was by there the other day saw the same half-naked d.r.u.g. addict that's been hovering around that area for at least the past 5 years now passed out on the bench in a d.r.u.g induced slumber. they will never get rid of him and we will have to keep dealing with him s--ting up our neighborhood until he eventually overdoses on meth or whatever. then some other addict will take his place and the cycle will continue forever

Similar problem emerging over at Alameda Landing right in front of the BBQ place. ⏰⏰⏰
