Neighbors tree was declared dead or dying by the city in Feb 2019 on case number 19-4570 and he was instructed to cut it down. He has not done so and the branches are hanging over my house and keeps dropping limbs and bark pieces. the neighbors home is a rental home and I own my own home. Update from the Codes Compliance Department: a tree case was opened and investigated for this reported address and was closed on 8/28/2019 with the following comment from the investigator:
We received a tree assessment from the urban forester Mr. Shane Largent. According to Mr. Largent the "tree in question appears to be an EarPod tree. EarPod trees are not protected by City Code and a permit to remove is not required. Condition of tree: The tree exhibits signs of early decline and the west side of the tree is choked in vines and a Strangler Fig. I do not agree with Landscaper that the tree is "very healthy". However, my recommendation is that the tree is not declined to the point of creating a danger and that no further action is necessary at this time."
