Good post, there is a couple others posted about this bus stop/park heaven and what has changed? Is there noticable police presence? I don't see it. Does the bus even run at those hours? I don't believe I've seen one and these people DO NOT I repeat DO NOT sit there waiting for the bus because I've personally witnessed the bus stop and nobody gets on. So it's just acceptable to use it as a hangout spot since it's covered and has a bench they can sit on. I've also witnessed them breaking the glass NUMEROUS times and guess what? IT'S BEEN REPLACED FOR THEM, isn't that great? I understand the police is understaffed but this darn park.and bus stops on both sides are a definite HOT SPOT that needs police presence and aren't getting it. What is the point of having laws and rules when nobody follows them and nobody enforces them?

Don’t even get me started on the bus stop across the street by Sarrs...
I was there waiting one day and a women drink out of her mind, COMPLETELY NAKED was laying on the ground with her legs full spread on the back of the bus stop.
I called the police. The bus came and they bus driver argued with the women for several minutes because he didn’t want her on the bus.
The police arrived.
2 police cars arrived and stopped behind the bus stop in Sarrs parking lot. A female officer in one car and a male in the other and they were parked side by side.
The female proceeded to fix her hair while the male started a conversation. They sat there laughing and have a good ol time with out once getting out to assess the situation and drove off.
The drunken unclothed woman stubbled her way up the street and nothing was done.

Maybe Cheryl and/or whoever else monitors these posts doesn't believe or is unaware of what is happening so it's treated as no big deal but I guarantee you if everyone in Tukwila knew about this app it would crash in a day from all the complaints about what's happening at these bus stops and the park. Police have been called emergency and non emergency numbers and either they don't show up or they do and like you said they scatter and come back it's like a game they play with each other.

It’s unbelievable what’s happening in the tiny 5 block arduous. Police were called to my apartments yesterday because those same bus people were hanging out on the stairs.
2 cops came and they scattered into other apartments and the park.
One of the officers rolled his eyes and continued to interrupt me as I was trying to tell him what happened. As I was talking to the other officer he was standing there and continued to roll his eyes, tell me they do not have enough back up to deal with this problem right now, got in his car and left. How is that ok?
There are also cameras all over my building and they were not interested in seeing any footage of the incident to see who they people were.
This is your so called police force and how they deal with issues. No wonder no one wants to join this section of the force and they lost all but 1 percent of their applicants.

Face it, this city is falling flat on its face. The Police act like it's been a nice city long enough, let's turn it into a trash haven. That's what it looks like they're doing. They're giving themselves reasons to work instead of sitting on their tushes. Only explanation.

Deputy Chief Drever will be at the TIBAC ( Tukwila International Action Committee) meeting tomorrow night ( 9/10/2019) at 7:30 to try to have an orderly discussion as to how as a community we are going to handle the issue at the bus stop on 144th. Everyone in attendance will be given an opportunity to speak but it is to be in an orderly tone and fashion. We have the parking at the Library also on our agenda. The meeting starts at 7pm and we adjourn no later than 8:30pm. We meet at the Valley View Sewer District located at 3460 South 148th.
