If you have a specific day, time & location, as well as a description of the parking employee, please do post it. Otherwise, it's unhelpful and false to insinuate that every parking employee is writing false tickets. Please be more specific or close this issue.

I think any citizen who cares about the responsible use of scf should be"super sensitive" about it being used as a tool to generate inflammatory and baseless accusations about the poor working class stiffs who are already maligned for doing the job of enforcing municipal ordiances created by politicos that are at the top of the totem pole the parking enforcement officers are at the bottom of. There should be a requirement for angry posters to do the smallest modicum of fact checking where they would find that thw city's parking enforcement officers have no quota and that the city never sold parking meters or the revenue that they generate. This post exists solely to further malign thr working class.

I have watched this happen many a times T & P will not respond.

I have reported specific instances and witnessed a meter person do this more than once or twice. T & P will not disclose any info about meter persons or their routes as they fear retaliation. They will also not disclose any reprimand or report. You just get stonewalled with we will look into this. FOIA anyone ???
The first claim is to say these are "meter feeders" (people who stay in a 1 or 2 hour zone all-day. Doubt it when you live in Washington, CT. So are we to just trust these issues are resolved in secrecy by Mr Travers? Sent pictures of meter with ticket and nada.... will this change when John D leaves ??

What does this ludicrous accusation have to do with filming police? Speaking of film, where is this evidence? Because usually on legitimate SCF posts people, y'know, PROVIDE it... Also, as the other conspiracy theory commenters have posted, if any of this were legit your issues with the mayor or department head, not with the poor guys walking the streets trying to pay their bills. You have offered no evidence besides "everybody knows" and the only thing you are doing is rabble rousing against the working class who already have a hard time because of people like you who don't want to take responsibility for following the parking rules and mad that you get legitimate tickets.

It would be awesome if you guys investigated these inflammatory accusations before you're posting online. The city didn't sell the meters and the parking enforcement officers don't have quotas. There are no examples such as badge numbers or meter numbers given, this post exists only to incite contempt for members of the working class who have an unpopular job. berries.... how does one fix something when you don't provide anything to work with. You can make claims until you are blue in the face..... blueberries... hehe....but when you add additional information in your text, such as accusing meter maids of being lazy and paying off other people....? you basically discount everything else. (not that what you wrote has any real validity due to lack of any real information) You also state that they are creating a bad reputation for the city. Do you think maybe, blueberries, that you are doing the exact same thing? If you could back up what you are saying, you would be doing the public a service. In this case however, you are only being inflammatory.

If you don't mind the service charge, using the new pay by phone app (ParkMobile) emails you proof of payment including time and meter number. Not sure what the current adjudication system is for checking tickets, but seems like that would be pretty unimpeachable proof that one had paid at a meter.

By the way, I agree that overly broad rants without specific detail undermine the value of the SeeClickFix system - as do attacks on specific individuals.

@Buy a Bicycle- what you need to buy is a clue- how do you get a badge number off of someone who won't provide it? how do you follow up on a complaint that no one will give you info on-?I have spoken to the Mayor & Mr. Travers- just by the number of comments alone there is an issue here. Accusations of fraudulent tickets, with broad-based insinuations followed by insults is not typically something that we respond to. Having said that, we are acknowledging this post to point out that there are numerous reasons why someone may receive a ticket while still having time remaining in a parking meter. If a parking ticket was issued in error, the person receiving the ticket has the ability to contest it. Additionally, if there is cause for concern, we have the ability to identify and follow up on those concerns as we do not take these matters lightly. If the person who posted this issue can provide any detail other than what they already posted, we will follow up on this matter.

Parking during no parking hours/days (street sweeping, construction, permit required, etc, etc), parking time limit exceeded. There are a number of possibilities.

Exceeding the time posted by re-feeding the meter in the same can get you a ticket also

Can we please close this issue. I think we all know what the issue at hand here is. The appeal process needs to be made fair.

Only TT&P can close it, since they've acknowledged it.
