Until the City puts up the barriers (which they just finished on Greene street), this is a daily occurrence. Also, the bike lane is a mess. Why didn't the City repave the street first?

I am not sure that any of this is in line with the Jersey City Vision Zero plan. I do not see why citizens should have to reach out to the Eastern District when Jersey City is aware of the issue. In fact, Jersey City proper will recieve a better response than a random citizen would.

This issue is about one police vehicle. However, the issue is also about cars constantly parked in the bike lane, every single day. Hired cars are waiting for customers across the street from the PATH station. The City should hurry up and install the barriers and that would be the end of this issue.

Washington Blvd is scheduled to be repaved starting Tuesday, 10/29. Once the road is repaved, Washington Blvd will be restriped with a more permanent design and physical bike lane barrier.

So, Jersey City went through the effort and striped Washington Boulevard only to repave the street a few months later and now the city has to restripe it again? A perfect example of government waste.

Even after the repacking cars are still parking in the bike lanes. Is the city actually going to do anything about this?

Washington St was repaved, restriped, and white flexible delineators were installed within the buffer between the vehicular travel lanes and the bike lanes. If parking within the bike lanes continue, please reach out to Parking Enforcement.
