This whole area has become very unsafe and unhealthy ever since the underpass at 42nd Street was closed down. What are the proposals to clean this up and make it safe again? I live right on this corner and all the neighbors I speak to don't even walk through this anymore. It's too dangerous. We now drive to get to Telegraph Ave. Plus, all of the lights have been knocked out by the homeless people living there.

This area is extremely dangerous—it cannot be used by pedestrians or bicyclists. And, it is even becoming challenging to navigate in a car.

Dear Mayor,
It is not good for one's well being to be constantly subjected to piles of garbage, filth, graffiti, homelessness, human feces, hypodermic needles. You have the power to help to improve people’s quality of life/their mental health by using laws, regulations, and codes already in place that if they were enforced would help to do that.
