It actually is a code violation, which is why a case was opened. All he needs to do is park in his garage to be in compliance. TSO, please stop trolling See Click Fix and harassing people when you don't like the complaints that they file. The Comments are supposed to be to assist Codes Compliance, but instead, you constantly interject your own opinion about the laws, which is mostly incorrect, criticize the person filing the complaint, and get into written arguments with other people who are commenting.

After reviewing your many complaints I get why you don't like being challenged for being an obnoxious neighbor, Scooter. Leave people alone. I find it humorous that you have only pointed out and reported "code issues" that you don't like, but have no issues with a host of others that are prevalent around the very properties about which you complain. You should consider moving to a neighborhood with covenants and overbearing boards of directors with whom you would likely fit in!

A work van is completely legal. A work semi truck would not be legal. The lettering on the sides of the van may be a violation of a deed restriction if this were in a deed restricted community but it is not.

Stee911 - he's technically correct. It is a rule that has been on the books since the 70s. It is a rule that needs to change, but even if it isn't - we should not be calling code violations in on our neighbors because they're daily driver is their work vehicle and parked in front of a house that they paid a lot of money for and for which they pay a ton of taxes.
