Description

The stretch of 38th Street just east of Broadway, and wrapping around to Cerrito Avenue, is in grave disrepair and represents a potential liability to the City of Oakland. This street is in constant use by drivers who think that it leads directly to the Kaiser properties on Howe Street (it does not), and by paratransit bus and Kaiser shuttle drivers. Huge delivery trucks lumber down the street, and workers from the Post Office, Kaiser, and Kaiser patients/visitors all seek free on-street parking on 38th and Cerrito. The City MUST repair these streets!
