Yes, problem with skateboarders at both parking garages especially the parking garage on Ash St., and area around Park University and the west Water Feature area on the trail. Usually see them around 4-7pm and I ask them to stop and they just leave for a few minutes and then return. Some of the skateboarders drive cars to the location. They are skating off the steps up on the sidewalk deck at the new 4story building. Need police on foot and bike patrol. I walk this area 2-3 times a day and see them

This has been a problem for a long time. Personally, i dont see a solution aside from having constant police patrols which isn't too practical. anyone else have any ideas on ways to curb or stop this?

Alot of speed bumps, or maybe something on the stairs that makes it hard to skate? I always see shady people hanging around inside there. Does anyone know if there alot of vehicle break ins at either garage downtown?

speed bumps might help. i think there are security cameras in the garage but not sure. there is a police substation in the new parking garage. but again, the police can't be everywhere 24/7.

When walking the neighborhood you can hear the echo easily in the parking garages, you also can hear the boards slamming down on the concrete area where there’s steps & curbs...

Yah, the skaters text each other where to meet when they think there’s no Police or no one is watching them. Sometimes around Park University and Water Feature, one of the skaters is taking videos & pic’s with camera equipment. Some of them drive vehicles to the location. Police just need to be more sneaky and be more presence on foot or bike in the Heritage District. They also need to view pedestrian safety, especially at the crosswalks, cars fly through the yellow flashing lights especially in front of Culinary Dropout, that is a very dangerous crosswalk.
