I moved onto Inverary recently and you're absolutely right, the speeding is ridiculous. I'm an avid runner and have almost been hit by a car or two when running along the curb (there's a chunk with no sidewalk by Christine, and let's not even start on the sidewalk conditions in this neighborhood). I'm afraid that you're right- it will take someone being hit by a car for there to be a fix, a police presence, something to solve this speeding problem. And it'd be nice to back out of my driveway without almost bring clipped by some speeding around the corner...!

Our neighborhood has been aware of traffic concerns throughout the neighborhood and have had several meetings and discussions with the city.

Traffic data on Inverary indicate 85th percentile speeds (the speed at which 85% of the traffic is traveling at or below) of 31 mph east of Sunderland and 33 mph west of Sunderland. The speeds west of Sunderland are near the upper end of what is typical for a residential street, but below the City's standards for traffic calming. The City will place its radar speed trailer, which is coordinated with additional police enforcement, on Inverary near Sunderland this spring/summer.

Also, do you have information to clarify traffic calming priorities? My understanding was at this point there was still a moratorium on traffic calming until we are able to fund a systematic study to identify where it is needed and won't adversely impact nearby areas.
