You just closed out STREET SWEEPING CLICKFIX REQUEST # 7003928 AFTER OVER SIX MONTHS! Not sure what took so long?! I had made the request back in NOVEMBER. Road work had just been completed on Willow Street and it had been poorly patched leaving small loose pieces of the patch material all over the road. I initiated the request at that time so that a sweeper could go by and take care of the problem that, if left the way it was, could damage vehicles passing through. My request was IGNORED.
I’m not sure who was working there at the time - it was probably National Grid. Doesn’t matter who it was, but, whoever does work in the city and patches the road upon completion SHOULD be responsible for the condition of that stretch of roadway before they leave it! Willow Street should have NEVER been left patched the way it was with small pieces of patch loose all over the street! So irresponsible! Bad enough we have to deal with patches everywhere! The least workers can do is be sure that excess patch is swept up before they continue on to their next project.
I waited OVER SIX MONTHS to be told that Willow Street “gets swept weekly as scheduled”. I realize that is what is supposed to happen and I realize that there have to be deviations from this schedule, but, the concept behind ClickFix is to bring attention to issues that arise that need IMMEDIATE ATTENTION ** in addition ** to the normal schedule. If I had thought back on November 21st that the issue could wait until street sweeping day why would I have bothered bringing it to your attention? It was an issue that should have been taken care of immediately. Either the individual(s) responsible for poorly patching the road should have been called out and they should have been required to return and clean that area of Willow Street or our own street sweeper or DPW should have been assigned the job of making sure the roadway was cleared at that time. It is disappointing that many of these ClickFix requests are not taken seriously. 😔

Your request was sent to the city engineer which was in charge of this project for water line replacement. Willow street has been swept numerous times since your request so there was no reason to leave an open ticket. If you have any Question feel free to call me anytime 781-397-7160
Thanks
