The Town recently adopted a new Traffic Calming policy, as you describe, which does not allow any new vertical deflection devices to be installed. Prior to that adoption, we had adopted an internal policy that also prohibited new devices from being installed, but also that existing devices would not be maintained. As they deteriorate, Town staff will be removing the devices, but there will not be a mass removal project. Devices will only be removed if they are in need of repair or a roadway is resurfaced. We have already removed one along Barnford Mill and have a second that was temporarily fixed but is scheduled to be removed later this summer. If you have any other questions, please let me know.
