The Journal Square community association reached out to the Quality of Life Task Force months ago and with the help of Prosecutor Jake Hudnut progress was made to get the house on the market.
Until that time nothing was being done.
Even though it is still an eyesore, progress has been made and eventually it will be rehabilitated or knocked down, hopefully.
I suggest that the Housing Code Enforcement division contact the Quality of Life Task Force and get the back story in what they’ve done so far and work together going forward.
It should not be permitted to stand like this and blight the area.
Nothing has been done. It is even worse than it was before. The front door was open. The grounds are full of garbage. The fence was torn down when the old owner removed the oil tank in the front yard. Has this house been sold? If so, the new owners need to get this fixed up ASAP. It is a disaster.

Well until the prosecutor got involved I understand it was in bad condition for almost a decade. So something has been done.
I believe it has been sold and this is why I suggested that the 2 departments work together on this and hopefully they can address the issues.
