As you come up Grosvenor from Lafayette this is just past the first tree on the left. Now this GLASS item is in the middle of the sidewalk blocking pedestrian traffic. WHY does it take sooooo LONG to resolve???

As of this morning, 3/24/2011, this Fish Tank has NOT been picked up.
The snow bank has melted and the Fish Tank is now on the SIDEWALK blocking the pedestrian traffic.
There was snow inside the tank which has now melted and this, along with rain water which has also collected inside, presents a HEALTH HAZARD of stagnant water being left in a public area. Children are particularly AT RISK if they should begin playing with or near this dangerous item. Other small ITEM have now been abandoned inside and near this Fish Tank.
If this Fish Tank had been abandoned on Salisbury Street the City would have picked it up IMMEDIATELY. Because Grosvenor Street is in a low income area the City allows the streets to look like a ghetto. This is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS and a complete SHAME that the City is ignoring this request to remove this Fish Tank. WHY would it take over SIX WEEKS to have this issue addressed?????
This area needs to have a CITY Surveillance CAMERA to catch the perpetrators who continuously abandon items here.

NO!!!!! This problem has NOT been resolved.
I completely give up. Obviously the CITY does NOT care. I no longer care -- the fish tank has become part of the scenery. Pretty soon, as the weather gets warmer, there will be plenty of little things floating in the filthy disgusting water that is collecting each time it rains -- and these are no fish swimming around -- it is the bacteria and microbes waiting for some animal or child to touch it. What a Health Hazard!!!! And the Department of Public Health is the next street over (Meade St.) -- what does that say about a City who cares??
