  This happened today. Neighbors and myself have cameras and as much as 50 cars daily speed here. Why not just put one or 2 speed bumps?

  Yes I agree they should put speed bumps at the stop signs at least. I live off of wadean place, and every week there's an accident and you can never find the driver. Not to mention people treat 55th as if it was a highway and going 55 miles an hour plus we have families that live in this neighborhood and it's scary to walk on, cause you never know what's going to happen around the corner.

  I agree, there is excessive speeding on 55th Ave, especially within the 3-4 blocks closest to International Blvd. Vehicles rush through the street, ignoring the stop signs at such high speeds. It’s incredibly dangerous for pedestrians and for children who have been out trying to ride their bicycles.

  the neighbors have to either pay for it or submit a petition "collectively" to the city. i think all their money went to that horror show on east 14th(stop lights on every street)!! which at certain times of the day, these idiots do the same thing!!! East Oakland is the worse attended area in all of Oakland!!!

  Oakland is does it’s best but the political party’s are the ones who mess up or keep changing minds. I just hope they really fix this issue or atleast put 1 camera to identify the speeders that pass on 55th Ave and East 16th and fine them. Some neighbors have already reported trees being on the way where you can’t even see the spot sign. Nothing has been done. Mean while majority of construction workers that fix streets get paid a lot for some basic work they should subcontract a company just to fill up the potholes and make speed bumps, even trim the trees like CIVIC CORPS highschoool used to do cheap labor for EBRP & EBMUD and Caltran have goes to the workers and the rest to the none profit school. Apparently oakland cant manage its money.
