Sent this request to the director, to determine if this is a zoning issue.

There are other complaints about the brightness of these aviation lights. I’m not surprised NYC residents are now also complaining about the unnecessary brightness of these lights.

Pilots of commercial flights landing at EWR have been mentioning to the tower that these lights are irrationally bright and distracting, as they appear to be approach indicators (which they most certainly are not). https://forums.liveatc.net/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=15953.0;attach=10729

Owners of this building need to get this rectified before a pilot gets disoriented.

This really is a serious concern and needs immediate attention

The word is that their "regular" lighting system broke, and these temporary lights meet FAA requirements in terms of visbility. That's actually super important. But it's been a month. It shouldn't take a month to fix lights.

The lights were hit by lightning and are permanently stuck in “day time mode”. Last night the lights were extremely bright once again because the clouds were low. I posted an example video I shot of what this looks like in another ticket but it was closed.
