Come is currently covering metal hazard but witnessed multiple children move and play with cone, exposing the metal frame. This has been like this for most of the year.
Thank you for reporting your concern to City of Cambridge via Commonwealth Connect. We have reviewed the information you provided our staff and will be investigating this issue further.
OTHER SAFETY ISSUES AT PLAYGROUND:
- Front gate hinges are not bolted closed or secured (you can literally lift gate off hinges)
- Trash can latch is broken, meaning the metal frame swings open and leaves trash bin open to children (especially after rodents chew holes in plastic bin)
- Water pressure in fountain jets are WAYYY too powerful for toddlers that would be at this lot. If one was standing on jet, they would get flipped over.
- Metal post sticking out of ground, covered by an orange cone (which is the perfect thing to attract a toddler)
