The stretch of Race Road between Furnace Ave and Church Avenue is 25mph (lower than everything south of Church Ave) and there is a lot of speeding through this residential section. Traffic calming was requested but denied because the number of vehicles was slightly under the threshold required. However, speed humps are only one type of traffic calming. Has anyone considered painting a double yellow line down the middle of the road? It will slow people down, let them know passing is not legal (my car was sideswiped by a speeder last year), and should not require a “study” to be approved.
