I would speak to your property owner they should offer some kind of recycling program. And again if you want to you can drop off at the City yard Monday- Friday 8 am-3 pm or Saturday 8 am - noon

Maybe the apartment owners “should” offer recycling but it’s clearly not enforced and they don’t, so this is what happens in reality. This is the dumpster of the building next door, and I know a few other residents in other apt buildings who also don’t recycle. I am aware of the city yard, and find it very inconvenient in both distance and its limited hours of availability. You can say bldg owners should offer recycling and residents (who have a car) can drive to the yard- but the reality is that everything goes in the dumpsters. Every week, over snd over again.

Unfortunately private owned building that are not in the City of Malden trash program we cannot enforce or make them offer recycling. I believe you that some will drop it off and some just wont put the effort in so it goes in the trash. If the residents of the building advocate to the property manager or owners maybe they will come up with a recycling program. It would be great to keep the recycling out the waste stream.
