Description
We took the family to the lake this weekend and we were very surprised at the amount of trash floating on the edges of the lake. Please clean up! (Or organize a clean up!)

And by the most of the garbage floating in the lake comes after hard rains because storm drains from as far as the WalMart Shopping Center in the Perimeter Center and storm drains on 285 and the Georgetown Kroger feed into Murphey Candler Lake.
Think of how much makes its way to Nancy Creek and then to the Chattahoochee and then to the Gulf of Mexico.
This is why we need to stop using plasitics and styrofoam for our drinks and food or at least get companies to use biodegradable plastics made from plants instead of petroleum.
