Bikers have a stop sign too. 4 way stop. You stop, look and roll on.

Even if it is a 4-way stop, there should still be a clear view of the trail from the stop sign.

There is a clear view of the trail. I know of peoples yards that are worse visibility. I can take a drive around our neighborhood right now and photograph them for you. In your picture. There is a clear view of the trail. Maybe not as far down as you want, but easily enough space for ANY legal vehicle on the trail to stop. Bikes etc. Want an even better view of the trail? Scoot up a little. Foot off break slightly to edge up. Stop. Now move forward and proceed with your day.

The BIKERS have to stop. It's the law. There iOS a stop sign in your picture clearly visible from the trail and on the one you have facing you. Says clearly "All WAY" "STOP" Meaning- everyone has to stop. Not just you. All 4 directions. IF they do not stop, they are breaking the law and in turn, you would NOT be at fault in a collision. If they are not stopping, call the non emergency number and request a patrol to ticket them.

Not the first time this has been reported. They own the easement. Code is different. His shrubs look great. Why bother them if he upkeeps them and they are legal?

I saw a problem and I reported it, that’s all. I am not saying anybody’s shrubs don’t look great. I have had a problem at that stop sign. When you look to your right your view is obstructed. Many bikers stop, some do not. I am not worried about who is at fault. I am worried about someone getting hurt. Apparently I am not the only one if it is being discussed in your group.

No, it is being discussed because it is preposterous that someone cannot move forward a little to get. a better view. If you care that much about the health of others, yet they don't care enough about their own health to not stop at the LEGAL sign. Then there seems to be a big hang up. Most issues happen because someone broke the law. Wether they are held accountable is another thing. Obey the law, scoot up a bit and the resolution is easier than you may think.

I reported a problem I saw. I did not ask for advice on how I should stop at a stop sign, how I should serve my community, nor anyone’s interpretation of the law. The issue has been assigned to the Parks Dept and they can do with it what they want.

Reopening as I did not close it.

Either way. It is better to take the time to talk to your neighbors and build relationships vs reporting them and drawing a wedge between folks. Most pop the time, adults can work out issues between themselves when given the chance without getting a governing agency involved. What if they were fined vs you knocking on a door and building a relationship? Or at a minimum, they would know others are displeased with it and could either resolve it, or explain it and listen.

Seems to me the issue is not the shrubs.
It's the bikers themselves. You could line up 30 stopped bikers in that area pictured. That is where they're supposed to stop. Since they're te ones going full blast towards the stop sign, with no intention of obeying it, then they are the ones that are making this a hazardous crossing and a different authority needs to be contacted.
Although not legal the social contract says stop where you're supposed to but then scoot up for a deeper visual field and if you see somebody huffing it because they're late to work or trying to stay fit you let em pass.
I believe the OP had good intentions just a little misdirected.
